Plug Wires Touching Headers
They keep touching the headers and i am afraid of them melting. I've had to fight some with plug boots touching headers (hooker comp 1 5/8, w/angle plug heads) if you have to buy new wires, get taylors, period.

The other four are 90 angle boots to clear headers. You are abel to bend the lower boot on these wires in any direction away from the header. I also run wire loom over the center bolt valve covers.
Well, it looks like there are two kinds. If you are running headers with close tolerances, an engine bay with little room, or an rv with boots that melt. That shielding you see is for my starter wires.
A typical street engine with headers will normally maintain underhood temperatures between 300 and 500 degrees at the header tube closest to the spark plugs. The 1/4 is just enough room to allow the wires not to touch. Check your local speed shop for shorter spark plugs.i believe accel used to make ones that were real short on the end that the wire attaches to.this is assuming of course that shorter ones would help,it depends on where your wire is.
